Baseball Season???

So the Mets are not doing so great - understatement. And the Cyclones keep getting rained OUT or rain DELAYED.....I am tired of dragging sweatshirts and umbrellas every where I go. I feel like the umbrella lady. OK, so I once again will try tonight to see my beloved cyclones even though they keep saying RAIN.....These bones cant take much more.

On a better note, I did come home and manage to do some more jewelry. Take a look and enjoy because there is more to come...especially with all this rain -- we are in Brooklyn aren't we? Seattle I understand....

My First Sale

I have been a member of etsy.com since February and was getting frustrated as to why my jewelry was not selling. Been blogging around and was anxious but felt enlightened by others who didnt start selling right away. I have made sales outside of etsy but never through them. I love making jewelry so I have continued and even added to my collection. Well yesterday I made my first sale and am delighted, so delighted I shipped out the item right away today. So right now I feel I am on my way. So I will continue to advertise and let all know I do this and hopefully business will pick up. Doing glass pendants now which I enjoy and hope to put up on the website...so please look out for them. Planning also to make some gifts for friends so I can advertise business that way....I just bought a new storage cart for my beads and things, too.

I am disappointed that the bead show at Floyd Bennett Field was cancelled but I will keep looking...Might go to the one in Edison NJ--the closest right now. I have a baby shower to go to and will wear one of my necklaces for show too. I am very excited....good things to come....

Hall of Science

So today we went to the Hall of Science. Very interesting and the boys had fun. The best part was the bubbles...cant believe all that science and they got hung up on bubbles. But they were huge. Tonight I will try to make a few items and post them here and on etsy. So be on the lookout. Wish I had more time to do my jewelry, got some good ideas but no time. Will also try to get the word out about my shop online etc.

Relaxing weekend

OK so the weekend was relaxing.....yesterday I just vegetated (word?)and you know, it felt good. Before I went to bed I did some more jewelry business and posted it here and on etsy.com. I really need more time to do this. Am on vacation now so what's stopping me? Busy week ahead, with the kids, cyclone games and hopefully lunch with a friend. The weeks are flying by and before you know it - August. Dont want to go back to work yet, really not ready. They are advertising back to school items already, blah.

Today I will relax again but have a cyclone game tonight. If I dont do lunch with my friend on Wednesday, will do jewelry instead, so be on the lookout for more.....

TGIF

OK it's been awhile. But between the kids and trying to make jewelry and other things like housework (lol) I have been busy. and tired....still get up early, cant sleep late so that should give me more time. Still have alot to do, working on downstairs to clear up things so the kids have a playroom and the toys dont come up here. Want to put my jewelry business downstairs but afraid the kids will get into it. So for now it remains in my computer room which has to be redone also to make room for my beads. I keep ordering and writing down ideas but dont have time to make. The summer is going, they are advertising back to school already. I must put aside a few hours a day for me.

I did manage to complete a necklace, shown here, and at AgShap.etsy.com - so take a look. I am now shipping outside the US so maybe business will pick up. Know it is summer and alot of people are on vacation. Have patience...got to finish laundry now and then going to the cyclone game tonight....

Feeling Better

OK the cold is better and have been out in the summer air all day. Going to the cyclone game tonight and then going to work on my beads again, I hope. There still isnt enought time in the day and Im not working for the summer. Where does it all go. Got a new jewelry magazine today and am getting some more ideas. Keep an eye out here, will post the new stuff here before putting it up on etsy. Got to get organized a bit more as my beads are all over the place; one of my projects for the summer.....lets go cyclones (they are doing better than the mets!)

Cold in the Summer

All winter I missed getting sick from all those children and staff who had swine like flu symptoms. So now that it is summer - is it? - I have a cold. Dont feel like doing anything but sneeze and blow my nose. I have lots of jewelry to make and it is sitting on my table upstairs waiting for me, but all I have is a headache...maybe tomorrow I will feel better and get some work done. I have so many ideas and so little time for them. Got some more beads today and a new jewelry magazine, so maybe I will do some reading and then get motivated to work. So keep an eye out, my items might be up on my website soon....got to go blow my nose.

Getting Blog Savvy....

So now I can actually add pictures to my blog and people can link into etsy.com to see my work. Hopefully it will pass along..just having some patience. Meantime was commissioned to do a necklace for someone and almost finished. Will show the picture here, so keep posted. Wont be for sale but I have any other items for sale. Also, in process of making victorian ladies silhouettes on scrabble tiles. Made 10 and they will be on etsy hopefully by the end of the week. Going out to dinner now with my BFF and will continue soon....be back later.................

Love Summer

Love summer; sitting out on patio or back deck; reading, relaxing and relishing - these are the 3 R's I like. The weather could be better but when it rains I just have more time to bead which is my passion. Bought beautiful beads and focal beads so keep a lookout for more jewelry and accessories to come. Starting on Monday since I dont work holidays - although this is not work; just my passion. Maybe some day I will sell at local flea markets or open a store. One never knows. Meantime I enjoy this new craft I have found and will continue to do so. I am already commissioned to make someone a beautiful necklace, so will work on that next and then will be posting other jewelry.....so keep an eye out for AgShap.etsy.com where you will find my work.....Now to go outdoors while the sun is still shining....Happy 4th to all.....
