WORK WORK

Went into school day after that block party yesterday and feeling exhausted. Still have the house to clean up but had to go in and do a few things. It's like we never left, hectic as usual and alot of phone calls. Well, home now, will relax, straighten up and tomorrow is a ME day. Should really photo my new stuff and post but not doing that either. Will get back to everything tomorrow...

I SAID "RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!"

It is just not listening. But they postponed the block party to Sunday....which meant that last night instead of cooking I made some more jewelry....now just have to find the time to photo it and put it up on etsy. Today I will do the cooking and maybe during the week I will add to etsy. Kerene came by today and sold a piece of my jewelry - she has a few of them - maybe I will go into business with her, I can make them and she can sell them...I have to learn the selling method and how to present my stuff. I am hoping to do some when I get back to school. One of my paras owes me money for fixing her necklace and bracelet. Anyway, I did get to put up two necklaces I made and cant wait to put the rest up. Back to cooking......

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

ok So its raining but that is good because then I can make more jewelry which I just took a break from. Will be posting them soon. Have the two pendants I did posted already. Of course, we are having a block party tomorrow and all this rain is not exactly good - unless it goes away tomorrow - hurricane Danny?? - we will see. Meantime, I am working more on my jewelry which will stop soon because I go back to work next week. But then I really want to get into selling it more. I have ordered so many beads but just need the time to make my jewelry which I am finding is harder and harder. But it's a start and I am sure business will pick up.

Rings Rings & Rings

Well here I am today on a hot hot day and I should be beading but don't know why I don't. I seem to be better at it at night. Like last night - I watched this video on making rings and went upstairs and made two of them. Of course I put them on etsy and we will see what happens but I am fascinated on making them. Hope to go upstairs again and make some more. Meantime is is too hot to do anything - even put the sprinklers on - but might for the kids; but they don't seem to want to go out either.

Maybe I will bring my beads downstairs since it is cooler here. We'll see....Meantime looking for some more exciting things to make. Kerene took some of my pendants into work and hopefully she will be able to sell them. Still want to do a flea market - but can't seem to find the time...maybe one day.....until then keep on beading......

Start of Vacation

This is the start of my vacation days, especially since there are only 3 more weeks before we report back to school. Will do alot of jewelry - plan to devote 2 hours a day to making them. Have been asked to do a flea market; havent decided yet - have time for that. Have beach passes going to use and just relax. Will make some side trips also. The time is flying by and dont even want to think of work but it will be here soon. Like working with glass so might look into some jewelry classes....maybe KCC has some....sorry I didnt go to the Bklyn bead show but they cancelled that one, might make the NJ one - otherwise there is a NYC one in Oct. Got my postcards hope to give them out soon and must push the website. It seems people are checking it out, but very little sales.....time will show as I just started this business and it will take time. Well did my BBQ today and didnt get rained out; now getting ready to go to Cyclone game....at least they are doing better than the Mets.....

End of the Week

Another week has flown by. The summer is going too fast. I am making alot of jewelry. Have been asked to purchase a booth at the Flatbush Frolic but not sure will do it. Dont have enough jewelry to really sell but may be able to if I work on it. Have holder for necklaces and my pictures are even coming out better. I have alot of views at etsy but need more sales. Trying to think of ways to get the word out. People see it on FB but have been afraid of clicking on it. Will try to get them to click on it more...,must think of ways.

Meanwhile the cyclones are back in town and we have tickets tonight, Sat and Sun....so dont know when I will be able to work. Really must put some time on the side to work on my hobby. The weather has been too nice to stay in though and like being outside better. Will see what can be done.....till next time....

On a roll

Well trying to slow down a bit. Spent yesterday at LI game farm with boys and walked my feet off. Felt good but oh this morning my legs felt it. Will try to relax today. Did some more pendants and cant wait to put them online. Giving some to friends in order to promote business, Purchased post cards to increase business. Getting excited about craft shows. Went to one and there is another coming up so will look into doing one maybe next year. Need a larger inventory, working on that. Meantime I sell fabric on ebay in order to support my bead habit and that is working out fine. Well got to do more items so I can post them; will be back in a few days..
