New stuff

Thinking of opening a new shop but who has the time.  I made 3 more pieces for my shop and hope to devote more time to beading.  The weather is rainy here and should be doing more except laundry, dinner and grandkids keep stopping me.  Maybe tomorrow after I get the car inspected.  So much to do, so little time.  I now have 3 shops I am maintaining plus I sell on ebay - all for my beading hobby.  I also belong to 3 blogging sites or is that 4?  Losing track but it is so great to talk to others who do beading.  Get alot of info and ideas.  I already have 2 followers which I appreciate and am also following others.  I also am on Flickr which I love because there is a whole other world of beaders out there.  Didnt realize how many people bead out there.  Well, wash is done, got to put in dryer......talk soon

I'm Here

Well, Sunday was a wash out.  Never got to the park for Making Strides Walk because of the downpour Noreaster that hit us that day.  Although we did raise over $5000 and that was the main idea.  Meantime, did some beading.  Trying to find out how to make polymer beads and what I have to do to get started, havent a clue.  Meantime I am now not only selling on Artfire as AgShap but also selling on Zibbet.com as Beader Bubbe.  So if you have a chance check out the sites.  Zibbet needs some finishing touches and I have a slew of jewelry still not on yet, but will get there.  Come blog with me - do alot of blogging on Flickr if you are on there.  Nice bunch of people - I also am on Beaders Showcase which is a world of information.....dont know how I find time to bead???

Making Strides

Getting ready for the Making Strides walk tomorrow at Prospect Park.  We are so very close to our $5000 goals - money is coming in but more important we will all be gathering tomorrow at the Park for our walk.  Friends, family and colleagues together for this important cause.  For our mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmas....Will try to do some beading tonight but if not will have to continue next weekend because the walk is so very important.  Hope to see everyone there - will post some pictures during the week or you can find them all on Flickr.com.............

FREE FREE FREE

OK so getting into the business part of my jewelry store but not doing any actual beading.  I am hoping for rain this weekend so I can actually sit down and make some more pieces.  Then will photo them and list them on etsy.  Just cant find the time.  So for a change thought I would try something new.  Read somewhere everyone loves free so putting up some of my pendant on etsy with free shipping.  I am doing a showcase this weekend and hopefully there will be some feedback and some lookers and maybe some buyers.  I am also going to change my banner but havent decided yet on what it will be.  Got to look into photoshop and do something with it....maybe this weekend, like I said, a little rain will help....or I can go shopping at Lady Janes and get some more  beads.  LOL  We will see what happens.  Meantime, please leave comments and follow my blog.....

Where is everyone?

Been trying to stir up some business and have links back to my store on etsy and also links to this blog site.  Guess the weather has been so good no one is online and so I am just waiting.  But the creativity in me has stirred and I am now working on two different necklaces.  At least thats what doing this week.  Something simple and also using seed beads. 

I was so excited yesterday because I finally sold another item on etsy.  Guess it is just a slow process but really need to get my stuff out there.  Just no time.  I am thinking of new business cards and hopefully that will help, plus some emails.  Will continue to work on it.  Today I received a new magazine - Beadwork - and have been finding alot of new ideas in it. 

Sorry I missed the bead show yesterday too; hopefully will be able to go to the whole bead show in manhattan in a few weeks.

OK dinner is calling and maybe then will get upstairs.

BEEN WHILE

Well been busy between holidays and work and kids and just tired.  But tonight I will be going upstairs early and work on my beading...that is after a shower and putting away laundry.  So hopefully there will be some new items to be listed here and sold on etsy.  Speaking of etsy - I sold another necklace - so excited, maybe my store will be starting to pay off.  It has been slow go and just when I thought it wasnt worth it, I make a sale.  Also must work on advertising.  Cant really afford anything high but will see what I can do.
