One of my favorite authors, http://danishapiro.com/2010/03/on-the-brass-ring/ said it all in the latest blog of her website.  The brass ring - how many of us are always looking for that brass ring and feel all will be better if we can just grab it.  We spend so much time looking for that brass ring and do not enjoy the journey.  Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. ...so we keep reaching for that brass ring but we should enjoy the road we travel to get to it......and even if we miss it, wasn't the journey itself worth it?

girls just wanna have fun

Believe it or not, these are keychains.  They were selling in our school store and just had to buy them.  Of course, DIL spotted them and I bought more - they went like hotcakes.  They are so adorable and colorful....mmm, they also dont look too hard to make.  Well, back to housekeeping - the holidays are not far away and there is much to do.  Little by little it will get done.....be back soon, I hope.....

Summer Blue

I called these earrings Summer Blue because summer is just around the corner and maybe by making these earrings I will speed the summer here.   We have had enough snow and rain to last us - now we want summer, or at least spring.  Warm weather, sunshine, beach chairs, iced tea, sandals, t-shirts, and shorts.  No more coats, hats and gloves.  Give us some of that Vitamin D through the sun - not the pill. 

Time to relax and take in life and the real meaning of enjoying oneself.  Not the travelling or the doing - just sit on your porch or deck or whatever you call it - and watch the trees, birds, sunrise, sunset and kvell in all that is because in a blink of an eye it can be gone.  Love your children - and never go to sleep angry.

Have the innocence of a child and see things through their eyes.  Life should be simple - enjoy just being.  And hugs help too......

delightful pendants

Made both these pendants and finally had the time to photgraph them and upload to the computer.  I have more but no time.  The electricity was out in my son's house so the whole family slept over last night.  Today they went home but between straightening the house and doing shopping, not much time to do anything else.  I do have a few more pieces I have to polish and glaze and get ready for photographing.  Pink - come on Spring!!  Hopefully they will be done either tonight or tomorrow and I will get them on my Etsy store. I do have a few I photographed but have to run them through the editing machine before posting or putting them up for sale.  But be on the outlook for them. 

RAIN PARTY

Another day of rain.  But when life hands you lemons; make lemonade.  The weather was so terrible yesterday that my kids lost their electricity.  So they packed up taking the two boys and came over.  Hooray, a rain party.  I made a big pot of spaghetti and we all feasted.  The TV and computer kept everyone occupied and of course everyone was on Facebook. (except the grandkids) The wind did a number over here - my grill cover went flying - twice.  The bulbs that cover my front lights went flying down the street.  Of course, hubby couldnt have that so he went running after them.  Someone (hope not me) lost some roof shingles to the house and the branches were all over the street.  But everyone is safe and all the other stuff can be fixed.  Enjoyed having the kids sleep over and see their smiling faces in the morning.  We went out to get bagels and had a ball eating in the morning.  So that was my lemonade......what did you do?

Aren't these the cutest shoes....It is amazing what one can do with polymer clay. I am just starting out with PC and get as far as pendants - cant imagine making something like this. I admire people who are so creative.....check out the amazing work!

Busy Busy day, although not planned that way.  Early morn at nail salon, bank, shopping, picked up grandson for sleepover, breakfast - or was it brunch? - stopped home for these three minutes and on the way out the door to the park - it is way too nice out to stay in house.  Taking new camera and plan to shoot some great pictures- -----gotta go!

I'M BACK

Has anyone realized how dependent we are on electricity.  Mine was out all day yesterday and even the grandkids didnt know what to do.  Ok, so no TV - I will read a book - no lights!  Cant cook either.  But then again we went out to eat.  When it gets dark, we cant even find out way around the house!  But cant complain, we lasted until 8 pm and then the lights went on (of course I was out shopping - what else to do?)  So now I get caught up on all email and blogs I missed yesterday.....But I did manage to put two more items in my etsy store

I have more items but it was dark and late - still need to finish them and photograph them.......That's for another day, or maybe the weekend -
