Express Yourself.....

I came across Digital Expressions by Susan Tuttle through another blog that not only praised it but also used the book.  The pictures were amazing...I am definitely putting it on my list to buy.  I love color and have been dabbling in photography for a while now.  With 6 grandsons...I already have a few ideas for this summer on creating one of a kind pictures of them....of course, Mothers Day is around the corner....Mmmm Hint Hint.....Going to hop on over to Amazon right now and check it out.....

TIME

Time - I am running out of it....oh, I say that in a good way.  Meaning there isnt enough time to do everything. Especially ths week, - my day goes - work, grandkids, affair  -  that affair is a dinner or special occasion - not the other kind.  I wouldn't have time for that either -  if I wanted to.   Also, who has energy.  But these are good things - celebrations - babies being born, children growing up - parties and somehow the weather will get better. 

But it doesnt matter - life is good.....so enjoy the day.....and somehow I will finish my jewelry projects sitting upstairs....mmmm maybe Friday?

New Monday

Good morning all.  I awoke this morning without the migraine that was with me for the weekend.  Hate those things.  Havent gotten one in ages but when they come - boy - enough said.  So a new week is here and lots going on - have a dinner, a bris, a communion coming up.....my son's girlfriend asked me for eyeglass holders  to be made for a friend.  Late last night, after my migraine went away, I put together two - got into it so much I finished off a beautiful pink necklace also.  I plan to do some more tonight and will take pictures of finished pieces......so keep an eye for these items....have to charge my camera.....must remember.  Meantime, off to work.....have a great day!

Friendly Bloggers

Ever since I hooked up with New Friend Friday I am collecting new friends who are not only interesting but also creative.  I welcome all my new friends and look forward to a long time of blogging.  There is such a large world out there and it still amazes me how we can all connect no matter where we live.   I love children, hubby, nature, crafts, photography and plan on bringing in alot of all into my blog this spring and summer.  So I will also be looking for some interesting blogging and bringing people closer through this thing they call the internet.  Keep on Blogging......

Memories

This photo - taken 51 years ago - brings back so many memories. I have a wonderful aunt who happened to be my favorite and she had the "go to" house.  Us kids, all cousins, were so comfortable at her house, we wished we lived wth her (actually I almost dd, but opted to take an apartment around the corner from her)  I am shown here holding my goddaughter who is the one who put this pix out on FB.....boy, does time just fly by..... I think one of my projects this summer will be digging out old photos and remembering.....maybe we all should take the time and do that.....

MICKEY MICKEY

Mickey!  Isnt he great!  Well he is the theme for my grandson's birthday party next month...so looking forward to it!  Just love that Mickey....already got his present (mickey car) (toy that is) and now looking for a t-shirt for grandpa and me to wear.......must visit the Disney store.....

BUBBLES AND BOYS

So we went crazy with the bubbles...TOYS R US had this big bubble machine that makes 5000 bubbles at a time.....of course, it took me 1/2 hour to get it out of the box - security!! and then had to add 8 AA batteries behind a door that had 6 tiny screws and when it was set up, or so I thought, it would not work....I had one battery in the wrong way....so while the boys were getting impatient....I removed the screws, the door and set up the batteries right.....IT WORKS!!

It sure beat blowing through those little wands......this kept them busy for 3 hours!!!

Last day of Spring Break

OK so we were off to a good start.  The Mets won their first season game....hooray - better than the Yankees did -(sorry DIL)  but there is a long haul in front of us.  But at least Spring is here and the trees are budding.  Was actually outside on the deck yesterday blowing bubbles with the grandkids.  Got this cool machine that blows 5000 bubbles - had the whole yard filled up - pictures to follow......So other than spring break being over, all is good - think I will bar b q this weekend....that always makes a great day better.......

OK so I reduced the price of my earrings in my Etsy Shop to $5.00 - all earrings must go.  Have to make way for some new items I plan on making this weekend.  So thought if I got rid of the earrings, there will be room.  And if this sale is a hit, then I might reduce the bracelets to $5.00 also.  Got into polymer clay so will be handling that for awhile although the latest copy of Bead Style has me hooked on some interesting items to make.  It all depends on what I sell from my store.  Already made this known on FB and will try to advertise other places.  So if you know someone who would like my earrings, please check it out.......
