30????

This weekend we not only celebrated Memorial Day - G-d bless our soldiers everywhere - but also celebrated my son's 30th birthday....30?? when did that happen....he has grown into a fine young man with a beautiful family and has given us two wonderful grandsons.....so along with the rest of my family (one left early though) and friends.....I celebrate many wonderful years with more to come.  Happy Birthday Son...

Craft Fairs

This year I have decided to check out craft fairs in Brooklyn.....did some internet surfing and lo and behold, there is one coming up next weekend......it sounds great and it is in Brooklyn....so am going to check it out.  If you live in or near Brooklyn, look into it.....if the weather holds out, it should be a great day.....will let you know on my blog.....

A Short Stopover..

Well just stopping by for a while.  Was out all day, came home and cleaned some....taking a break before I finish the rest and then out again tonight with friends....meantime want to say hi to my new friend Haupi who talks about fairy gardens in her most recent blog....now that is something I can relate to....

TIME

Wow...dont go on your computer for two days and it becomes like my work desk.....overloaded.  I need to read 101 blogs and cant keep up with it.....glanced at a few and have no time to really get on the blogs and read......still have 65 more to go so will try to finish up tonight.....yesterday was busy with a dinner date with a friend I havent seen in quite awhile and tonight it is baseball with grandson.....where does the time go?  Havent read my book - but did manage to start a new diet......so much to do so little time.....so hope to be back tonight..........meantime, off to

ANOTHER BUSY DAY

Another busy day today but the weather is beautiful.  Spending a beautiful Sunday with my son and his family, two more great grandchildren....we are going to the Aquarium....we are members and go there often....so there will be plenty of pictures....

Had a great time at grandson's birthday bash....Mickey Mouse theme.....he didnt sit once....lots of kids and lots of fun.....it's good to be two......

OK we are off to see the Wizard.....oops, I mean Mickey - along with all his friends......I wonder who will have more fun? Off to Gymboree with the kiddies......

FUN FRIDAY

HI followers....havent been here for awhile because its been a busy week since mothers day....but plan to do some more blogging in a day or two.  Have a great birthday party coming up for my 2 yo grandson...with a mickey mouse theme and then on to the aquarium with two other grandsons.....so have a busy weekend but will get back to blogging.. and hopefully some pictures too.......it is going to be in the 70s this weekend so get out and enjoy the weather....before next weeks rain......

MY FORTUNE.....

I am sorry I havent blogged in two days but I have had my nose in this book, A Small Fortune which is mind boggling and soooo hard to put down.  I will probably be finished with it in another two days (sooner if I dont do anything else).  Check it out - it is an amazing story about an amazing woman.

The best part is this is the first book by the author, Audrey Braun - I originally downloaded this book for my Kindle but since I belong to this bookclub, Goodreads and participate daily, I was lucky enough to win a copy of her book - and she signed it.....so I will treasure it always.....

If you want a great and powerful book, read it......now back to my Kindle....must finish this book.....

SCRABBLE

Ive used scrabble tiles for some time now, but havent sold any of the jewelry I made with them.  So here I am sitting with all these tiles and not really interested in making any more tile jewelry.....so I have now put a supply section into my etsy store and will see if I can at least sell the supplies I do not use.  With that money I plan to get more polymer clay and beads to make other crafts.....time for a change....

My shop has been getting some items renewed and some deleted.  I find alot of friends are buying from me instead of my shop so I have to remove some items...I try to sell them first on etsy but have found lately I am approached by outsiders looking at my store and then calling me about purchasing an item.  But I guess that is good because it is still advertisement.....My visits have gone up on my etsy store since being featured by Cyndi L on her blog....so happy people are coming to visit....thank you Cyndi.....at least people know I exist...even if I dont get sales, I am making new friends...and you never know....

Ok, need to do some housework before everyone comes over tomorrow for Mother's Day....May yours be great....

IN THE PINK

Friday finally.  Had so much to do today like go to Costco, need stuff for the house and do laundry.....so instead I went out for Deli with hubby, son and his girlfriend....and here I am blogging....ok, so laundry can wait.

Posting this latest necklace where I made the beads myself of polymer clay.  Got off the eyeglass holder thing for a while since they are selling like hotcakes.  I dont even have time to put them in my store.  Sold 3 out of the 5 I have already....Not sure I will sell this necklace,,,,,may wear it instead and see what happens......or wait until next week to put it online...dont know yet.  Busy weekend ahead...grandkids Saturday night and then Mom's Day at our house.....ordering Chinese Food because I dont believe in restaurants for mothers day......too crowded.  Supposed to be nice out, will have the deck to sit on, relax and maybe take alot of pictures for my blog next week...

Blue Cricket Designs has come up with a great way to use corks - from wine bottles - and she gives the directions.  What a great reason to drink wine.  lol   Anyway, it is amazing how creative some of my blog friends are.....please check it out....I already put the word out to save me corks....cant wait to try it.....

EYEGLASSES......

So the other day my son's girlfriend told a friend of hers I made eyeglass holders......didnt know I do that but what the heck, let me try.  I mentioned it to a friend at work who said she can sure use them and would like a gift to give for Mother's Day.....So I set off to make some.....not bad.....and although it took some time, I found I really enjoyed making them.  Maybe I will keep one for myself.  I plan to make two more tonight, offer the choice to the two ladies who want them and then put the rest on Etsy.....what do you think?  Would you think of buying one?
