Thursdays.......

Well, back in the swing of things....blogging again and am going to try to do this daily.....Planning to start crafting again in August since July is quite close to ending and there are so many things to do.....upcoming is a block party and then BBQ to celebrate hubby's birthday.....pictures to follow.

I am Back...

...but not for long.  Had a great vacation, very relaxing and although it was hot, we were away....tried a Bed and Breakfast out in Long Island around Wine Country, visited the little village of Greenport and just relaxed, what the doctor ordered......

Stayed at Arbor View House run by Wilfred and Vida who were great hosts and wonderful conversationalist.....breakfast was to die for as Vida did all the home cooking.....

Sat on the deck and read and although hot out, there was shade there in the afternoon.....

had breakfast outside with 3 other couples......I can get used to this....

and then took a ride into Greenport off the water, relaxing and visiting the shops there.....

Most relaxing weekend ever.....now back to reality.....

Getting Inspired....Beads, Beads & Beads

Wasnt going to blog today since I still have to pack for my vacation tomorrow but while I am babysitting two grandsons in between packing....thought I would check in anyway.....and glad I did.....I got comments from people who are beaders.....love beaders, beading, beads, bead magazines.....bead sales, bead shows......need I say more....but also love to blog about them....I am hoping for some inspiration from other beaders and hopefully my vacation away from beading will inspire me to come home and be creative.

So, sharing these great works from sundownbeaddesign and also chinookdesigns who both got published...I am impressed......but their work is beautiful and definitely worth checking out...especially if you are a beader like me........Have a great weekend everyone....

Rain go away.....

OK so didnt get to the New York Hall of Science because of the      RAIN      that just came pouring down while driving...so......went to Target instead....got some DVDs and a                                                                                                    magazine for me and we settled in the living room and relaxed all day.....will try the hall of science on Wednesday....sometimes you just have to go with the flow.....

Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Why is it that summer invokes a laziness....all I want to do is vegetate....of course, thats probably because this weekend was hectic....between my grandson in the emergency room (all is well now) and my daughter in a fender bender with my car (no injuries) - it makes one just want to stop and relax.....before going to the ER we did manage to get some photos at MCU Park with the Cyclone manager, Wally Backman

then it was off to the ER....but like I said - all is well.....Now all I have to do is get creative....my juices are not flowing....my SHOP is not selling so have decided to close  it out.....all items have free shipping and once gone, that is it....

Getting into something new - stay tuned - so might be opening a new shop.....look for it sometime in August....

Am going away for a weekend to just relax and hopefully get my creative juices flowing.....On the way to the Hall of Science with the grandkids now......will  post pictures tomorrow..............have a great day.

Butterflies have left my stomach...

Well, feeling better today since last night we were called to the hospital because one of my grandsons passed out.......When my daughter called, we calmed her down and from what she told us, concluded it might be the heat....The heat here on the East Coast has been a killer and since he is only 5....well not the best for him....but the doc said it might be a seizure, so we all ran............After many hours in the hospital, some tests for various things....we are so delighted that it wasnt a seizure, but their conclusion was "it was heat related"....just like grandma thought....So today is a calm down day, although he was a trooper at the hospital and we all ended up at a diner at 10 pm and told him he can have anything he wanted.........so after french fries and ice cream....lol.....he went home to air conditioning and relaxing today.....all is well in butterfly land.....Watch that heat people.....it can be very dangerous.......have a great weekend....

Making Changes

Today I have decided to make some changes. Too hot to do anything else. So with the AC on I am going upstairs to my computer room and cleaning up "things".  The room doubles as my craft room where I make all my jewelry.  My Etsy Shop hasnt been doing well.  So I am have a "going out of business sale".....all items must go with Free Shipping and then I am closing my shop.

But I am not going away, I will be opening a new shop soon, with new ideas.....I am trying something new - in the craft business still......soon to be announced....give me a few weeks, but you will see the grand opening here, so keep tuned and.......

Several years ago I almost lost my life.  Got to the operating table just in time....at 10:30 pm....10 minutes later I would not be here blogging.  I am thankful for every day and every minute of life.  It can too quickly disappear....I am thankful for my family, especially my husband, my children and grandchildren.  Life is sweet...enjoy it.

Snakes and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Little boys love Spiderman...this little one couldnt wait for a whole new face lift.....but try washing it off!!  Is that why his mama let him sleep over?  We had so much fun, going back tonight.

and if Spidey wasnt enough, we found a caterpillar on Uncle Jay's car......they do turn into butterflies.....but maybe this one will just hang out on the car......Mama said not to bring it home.......

Happy Camper

Today I am truly a happy camper..Why, because today I hit the 10 lbs lost mark....I feel so much better, even though I still have a long ways to go....but.....I dont look at the big number, just the milestones I have gone already.   I keep on program, starting a Zumba Class this coming Tuesday. 

Today my grandson, Joey is over and we will be going to a Cyclones Game tonight and then a sleepover.  Love being on vacation......

Good Morning

I am sitting here waiting for the coffee to brew, my hubby is out for his morning walk and I am thinking....no children.  As a mother of 5, a father in law who lived with us and a dog..my house was always hectic. My kids' friends were always in my house.  I dreamed of the day I would have peace and quiet.  Well, the children have grown, both FIL and dog have gone to heaven.  But no quiet came because I have 6 wonderful grandsons who are always in and out of my house.   Places to go, things to do.

BUT today two grandsons went to Florida to visit their other grandparents; two went to Disney with their parents; and the other two are with their mother running around somewhere while daddy is on a business trip.   IT IS TOO QUIET HERE!  My goodness, it is so quiet and I hate it. 

....................................Oh, that was a phone call.  We are getting a grandson tomorrow who we will take to the ballgame and he is sleeping over......Hooray...enough of that quiet stuff.....Life is good, when you are around family and noise....

HOT

OK, for those of us on the East Coast.....when is this heat going to stop.  I hate staying in the AC so I am venturing outside, but this heat is really getting to me.  I love the summer but lets drop it down a notch......Any ideas on what to do with grandkids in this heat, besides throw them in the water all the time....Went to the zoo yesterday and even the animals didnt come out of hiding....going to get an iced coffee...see you later....

Down another pound....

Heres my little ticker....so far doing great on program and loving it.  Plan to surprise all at work when I go back in September.....looking good...this is the first program I am so happy with and is finally working for me....anyone wanting to lose weight this summer.....try it....
