For some crazy reason I took this picture...thought the key holder was cute...when I uploaded the picture from my camera, I made a discovery......

It seem orange girls and Cat in the Hat are not talking......dont know why, all they do is hang around all day......can you put words in their mouths????

Cruises

Now dont be shocked, but I have never been on a cruise.  I order brochures, I read online and talk to so many people who have been on one, who say it is absolutely great, but I have never booked one.

So I thought today, if I blog about it, maybe, just maybe I will take one.  You see, hubby is not liking flying too much.  But there are cruises that leave out of NY....a no fly cruise.  So I just started looking around, went on the internet, talked to others......and have made up my mind - WE WILL GO ON A CRUISE THIS SUMMER.  Last year I surprised hubby with a weekend trip to a Bed and Breakfast and it was great.  So now I am looking into a Cruise.....

You know that book that says....

well, there is only 1 place I want to see before I die..........that is on and in a cruise ship.  Dont care where its going, as long as it leaves port.....and comes back in a few days......so stay tuned here for updates on my cruise journey - from looking, to booking, to going, to coming back....with lots of pictures.


Lets see ----Norwegian Cruise Lines.....freestyle, balcony, ocean view......how many nights, going where.....so many decisions....so little time.......

Substitute Teachers

They come and go
Weeks at a time you may not see them
Sometimes they even stay for a week or two, or three
They are always there and enjoy what they do
You become temporary friends

And then one day, one of them sends their husband
into the office loaded with lunch for us
......as a beautiful thought.....a much appreciated thought.....so how was your day?

Shirley has a daughter, Linda who has two daughters, Brittany and Ashley.....and they made this a family shop because they are creative.....

Shirlee has blankets - crocheted so beautifully....I wish I had a baby...

then, move on over to her home decor.........embroidery this time, in a frame...

and if thats not creative enough, she also featured cards and paper crafts.....something for everyone....

What is that?  Well, I asked the same thing and did a little research......the word is derived from Japanese words.....ami = meaning crocheted or knitted; nuigurumi = meaning stuffed doll.

We have had enough

Puritans Pride

I just made a purchase from Puritan's Pride to buy some Vitamin C.....all this snow and cold weather is getting to me.....of course, since there are 2 of us taking Vitamin C I bought the buy 2 get 3 free....which made my bill quite high....but we do take two every day and when feeling under the weather....we take two at night....since vitamin c flushes out...

I didnt mind the price, since I use the product and the buy 2 get 3 free was great....but who doesnt want more....So I went on Coupon Cabin and looked for a promotional code......and lo and behold.....I found one, used it and got totally FREE SHIPPING......it was worth the search.

not going to be blogging much today...you see I am a Jets Fan.....and while right now I am cleaning the house....by 6:30 tonight I will be sitting in front of the tv with hubby ---- watching the Jets extinguish the Steelers.......

Grandpa makes Breakfast

I get a kicked out of this daily ritual that my hubby has.  One of my grandsons gets dropped off in the morning so grandpa can walk him to school.  Of course, grandpa doesnt believe in going to school without breakfast......but as you can see he makes an interesting dish.....

Waffles, pancakes and vitamins for eyes......and dont forget the apple juice.

I am halfway through this amazing book.....It was recommended through Shelfari.....and I am so glad I am reading it......like suspense, mystery, murder in the Big Apple....who done it....who remembers doing it.....are the police in on it?  Is the wife cheating?  Why the lies?  and Who is Next......put it on your "to read" list......more reviews are coming....now back to my book....or kindle.....

There is something about the color red that makes you feel alive.  Maybe that is why it is for Valentine's Day....Happiness and Lovers.....all good things.  So I dug into my bead collection to make something for Valentine's day and came up with the following bracelet.....will put more "red" items up soon.....just ordered a dozen heart keys......soon to go up for sale with a special dangle on the end......watch for it....

Computers....love them and hate them

I just spent quite a bit of time trying to find out where the "comments link" on my blog went.  A wonderful friend whom I did a feature on, All About Cats, was kind enough to email me and let me know that my comments link "disappeared".

I wasnt even aware of this and jumped in and started looking for help (which I couldn't find) and then just thought about what happened to my blog since the last time I was rearranging it.  You see, I like change - and who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks.....So I did some changing and thought that must be it......went into my design and changed it again, and lo and behold, the "comments link" came back.

I love comments and its one thing I would never remove from my blog.  So I say a big "thank you" to Linda for bringing it to my attention......I can sleep tonight without worrying that bloggers are ignoring me.....

I started liking football when I first met my husband 36 years ago.  Actually I had no choice, the only way I could see him on Sundays was in front of the TV watching the game.....so I learned.  I still dont know all the plays....but he can leave me in front of the tv and when he returns to the living room, I usually can tell him what went on.

Now I am totally hooked and excited that we are so close to the Super Bowl....It has been awhile since I had a Super Bowl Party and maybe, just maybe I will have one.....here's to next week....may the best team win......(JETS)
