I won I won
No, not the lottery.....but pretty close. Last month I got a parking ticket, at a meter that was broken. I actually saw the meter maid pull the bag off the meter and write me a ticket. Someone wrote on the meter "broken" and there was a quarter stuck in the slot. So the law says I can park there for one hour....someone put a plastic bag over the meter.
So after I got the ticket I went on line to request a hearing and even emailed the above picture. The law said I could park there.....I should not get a ticket.
Well, yesterday I received an answer - a letter in the mail - apparently they checked it - and DISMISSED THE TICKET.......it felt so good. Now where is that quarter? because when I went back to the meter (it happens to be in front of my nail salon) - the meter was fixed ........
Dont they tell the meter maids (or whatever they are called these days) all the rules? Do you have a traffic story?

I just checked and
noticed I havent blogged for over a week. Boy time just flies away. I cant seem to find any time, although I have worked on my Etsy store items....sales are good, made a few new items, but still have to take pictures and post. Work is crazy this time of the year with only two months left to the school year. Hopefully over the summer, things will slow down.
Even though work ends at 3:30, the rest of my day is filled with house work, planting, grandchildren, dinner, cleaning.....by that time I am ready for bed. Weekends are not any better, trying to fill in what I couldnt do during the week, like laundry and shopping.
I suppose what I need is better organization and maybe a maid......there just doesnt seem to be enough time. Have you ever felt that it just goes by too quickly. Remember when you were young and couldnt wait for something.....like a birthday.....time just didnt move. Except now we got our wish and those birthdays roll around way too fast.....heck, not only ours, but our childrens and of course, now the grandchildrens.....how can we slow down time?
I can only come up with one thing....to stop and smell the roses....take time out to enjoy the day and it wont hurt to sit on the patio with a good book and a cup of coffee......for time waits for no one.......enjoy! and remember this as you swirl through the day today.

Closed no Open
As some of you know, I haven't been feeling like myself for awhile now. Having leg problems and then dental problems -well I have been a little off my mark nowadays
I had contemplated closing my Etsy shop because my jewelry wasn't selling and I was running out of ideas on boosting my shop. Even being part of BESTeam was not helping.
But through my illness I took off some time from both BESTeam and blogging.... I have been off this week trying to baby myself back to health, and today is dentist day so I will see how my infection is coming along.
Along with that I have had a total of 5 more sales this past week and a half from such exotic lands as Hawaii and Greece and some locals also.
Feeling better and making those sales has inspired me to continue my shop and even to make some more jewelry and be more creative. I tried some glass pendants and am working on a beautiful beaded necklace.

I think I can make a go of my Etsy store and feeling better about it......so I will remain open, order more business cards and push a little more......the weather here today is gong to hit the 70s.....feeling like Spring......so get out and have a great day......

Living in NY gives me.......
the ability to have 4 seasons..winter, spring, summer fall. Of course there are years that are not quite seasonal, like this past winter where we hardly saw snow, but that worked for me. I have often thought of moving to a state that did not have as many seasons - or snow at all, but I was born and raised here, have family here, so I dont think I will be moving any time soon. But I can dream, and it would probably be for Hawaii.....still on my list to visit.
I have very lucky to have travelled far and wide inside and outside the US....I guess my favorite place was Spain and would love to return there....although inside the US I would say Colorado did it for me, almost stayed there permanently. But like I said, good old NY is first on my list and it always amazes me on all the things you can do here. The city never sleeps and you can never be bored. Looking forward to retirement so I can get up in the morning and plan my day to venture out.
Do you live in NY? What's your favorite thing to do here?
theater? museums? parks? book signings? amusement parks? Restaurants? Sports? Movies? boat rides? the list goes on and on......................
